have taken next Monday off as LO is in nursery and going to go and do a spot of rambling with the wife and stop for a long smart lunch. Wanted to go to Latymers @ Pennyhill Park but its shut on a Monday.

Any recommendations?

Cheers

You do realise Surrey is in fact quite big, don't you?
Though I don't know any places round Pennyhill Park, if that's where you wanted to go.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

    We've got all day!

If the food is good enough I'll head there. Was also considering going to The Sportsman nr Faversham but, alas, shut on a Monday.
  • Thatched Tavern in (North) Ascot used to be good, not been for a bit though and not entirely in the same league as Pennyhill Park.
Allez Triple (hairy with mudguards) - FCN 4
    Ribble Gran Fondo
  • There is always The Aviator, fairly close to pennyhill, though less surrey countryside, and more Hampshire right next to the airport, but the food was very good.

Or there is Marco Pierre Whites new place that has just opened, again fairly close to pennyhill, and I havent had chance to try it yet.
