My round trip commute will come down from 32.5 miles to 23 miles, not sure if I'm glad or not. Will take some willpower to extend the commute regularly so I can see my mileage dropping.

Going to work is uphill, coming home is obviously down...I can see me being late for work and arriving home early!

New office = stronger legs and high speed. A win, surely?

Had a very similar drop in mileage when I moved jobs last year.

It means I get home quicker when it's cold, and get to the park quicker in the spring and summer for post-work loops. Result.

"What happens when the hammer goes down, kids?"
    "It stays down, Daddy."
    "Exactly."

Where do commute from too? I'm facing a commute in from Loughton in the not too distant future.

I don't work in the city. My new commute will be from East London to the Brentwood area. Current location where I'm actually packing as I type, is Basildon.
