Routes somerset/Bristol

Hi im new to mountain bikeing normaly used to motorbike trials, got my self a hard tail the other day and took it to aston court trail and had an absolutley brilliant time considering it was tipping it down!

So my question is does anyone know any good routes/trails in the somerset, bristol south west area?

Welcome to mountain biking.. good choice!

I can recommend riding the Quantock hills near Bridgwater.. loads of nice natural trails with amazing scenery. I've heard there are some great trails around the Cheddar woodlands but not sure of exact locations. Some googling will reveal more info I'm sure. If you are prepared to head just over the Severn bridge you have Cwmcarn and The Forest of Dean both of which are awesome locations with a range of trails to choose from.
