Bike Radar Spring Fling Ride 2012

It's that time of year again when forumites can get out from behind their keyboards and actually hop on their bikes and ride with other pasty-white frail wanna-be bikers. Yes, that means YOU.

Great annual tradition started by NapD. This ride has been posted in the Sportive/Rides section for a while, but feel the need to move it here to get the word out.

As in previous years, here are the details:

Sun 18th March, Macclesfield Leisure Centre 10am

Hopefully, with some help from www.cyclestore.co.uk we'll have some Accelerade nutrition goodies.

Route can be tailored towards the end if we're all knackered.


This a FREE Sportive-Style ride through the Peak District. You need 'some' fitness, but we generally wait for everyone. There are a few hills so not for the beginner who hasn't ridden before, but not for winter-racers with (unless you don't mind an easy day!)


Come put a face to some names and have a great day out. (Plus you can ride with, and drop a Double World Champion on the hills!)

I've been called similar when out on my bike, but having helped create such a wondeful species its the least we can do the be there when some card company arbitarily decides they get a day with their name on it.

Looks a great route Nap !! I'm somewhat p*ssed that I can't make it, especially as I couldn't make last year either !! :roll:
I'll keep my fingers crossed for an autumn ride, or I'll sell my mother in time for next year ! (can't get her on ebay in time for this year!)

Just a reminder for those who live north of Watford Gap and don't mind riding on Mother's Day, that the NapD spring fling is tomorrow.
