I smashed a tooth on a pork scraching. Price was twice as much to save it than rip it out. Suffice to say, I woke up feeling hammered with a tooth missing - but it certainly felt value for money!

I've had toothache for about a year now. Keep meaning to sign up to the dentist.
There's a great thing you can get from the supermarket that's a tiny tube of gel, and it's basically anesthetic in a tube. It's awesome!
Don't waste it all on your gums though, it's brilliant having that numb feeling when you have your limes, strings etc...It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
