Hello all,
Following on from the long running thread on Chinese Oakleys (is the correct term Chokleys) I bought a pair to see what they were like and was pleasantly surprised and am really happy with them.
What I am now wondering is if any of you have used one or more of the Chinese clothing suppliers on the bay for any of the jersey and bib combo's and whether the quality was any good.
I like some of the team kit available from them (no, before you ask I aren't fast enough to wear it, but it will make me feel faster in my own head so there) and looking at the prices would be happy to get a year out of it and any extra being a bonus.
Obviously if it is absolute crap that will fall apart in 3 months I dont want it though, but my thinking is that the Chinese are so good at copying everything nowadays there must be a reasonably good manufacturer/supplier out there?
Any experience you have had please let me know and mention the seller if you can remember.
By the way temperature seems to be rising a bit here looks like it may be a good ride at the weekend without the icy feet

One guy in our club swears by his Chinese team clothing. We just swear at him.
Trust me, the quality is not up to scratch* and you may end up showing more than your class

This is what I am wary of daviesee
I honestly believe that there will be a decent quality supplier out there but it is so difficult to know what is what from just a few small pictures.
Anybody else have any expereince of this kit?0 -

Which kit, specifically?
There are many reputable companies that make very good quality kit and happen to have factories in China. Champion System is a good example. Their facility in Shenzhen has great working conditions and a staff who have access to good employment benefits. Their jerseys, shorts etc. are well-made and long lasting (I've had stuff from them for the past 3 years and it is still in good condition). Prices are pretty reasonable. On the other hand, I'm sure there are "counterfeit" manufacturers whose quality will be reflected in the price. I personally tend to buy less kit but of a higher quality as I'm not a fan of the "3 washes and it's knackered" product. In addition, having visited factories in China I'd rather support reputable business, especially where it feeds back into the sport (as you may be aware, Champion System now sponsor a Pro-Continental team).
