I am soon ordering my new Trek Session 8 and have been browsing the net for suspension set up tips. I have visited the Trek & SRAM websites and it tells me that I need a different spring from the one that comes as stock. Question is, can I ask my LBS to order the bike with a different spring or do I have to buy one seperatley?

You probably could have used it as a bargaining thing when you bought the bike. They might do it at a discounted price.
If not try TF Tuned, they will sort you out. Could also be worth getting TF to set them up & service them for you, Rockshox forks don't always come with the right amount of oil etc from new.
  • Thanks for the info. I havent yet ordered the bike and they have quoted me a good deal so I might ask them about the spring and see what they can do. I will look at TF also.

    Thanks.

  • Or I could just lose a few pounds and stick with the stock spring!!
