Cannondale Lefty

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking at purchasing a Lefty but I can not find an online store or makers website that has all the models and comparable stats like with the likes of Rock Shox or Fox? Why is this? I would like to compare models etc and make the right choice.

    Because it's all a bit of a bodge to fit them to anything that's not a Cannondale, so few do it, plus you can only get them through Cannondale retailers, not the same network as RS/Fox.

    They're bloody expensive too!

    The price is scary compared to others but I still fancy one. You would of thought the actuall Cannondale site would of had them listed though.

    There was a shop selling them, forget which. eBay tends to be the biggest outlet for them.

    Go in and speak to your nearest Cannondale dealer, they should have a decent bit of info in their dealer handbook about them. You will also need to get the 'lefty for all' steerer tube thing as they are a 1.5' steerer as standard for use on 'dales! Can't remember exact pricing, but I think it worked out to be about £1000 or even more with the kit. Last time we ordered one it took ages to come as well, as Cannondale didn't stock them most of the time.

    Could also be worth noting that it can invalidate your frame warranty due to putting different stresses on the frame, at least that's what the guy we got one for was told by the distributor of his bike.

    Where abouts are you in the country? My LBS (Pedal on) in Tadley Hants have got Leftys in stock, they will always let you try before you buy and they know what they are talking about. Great bunch of guys.

    Can I just ask, why would you want a Lefty when there are some many good normal front fork options on the market nower days?

    Cheers guys. Helpful info. abit far away from that bike store but might go and have a word with cannondale dealer.

    Reason I want one is I like them and I like what they offer. They are a lil different to everyones including mine fox & rock shox saturated market!! Want to stick it on a carbon 29er frame that is my project and want it to be ultra light.
