Broke my motion control

So i noticed i had a loss of lockout on my 2011 revelation RL last weekend, got home, today i adjusted the floodgate to see if it was having any effect and wherever the floodgate was set, it was having no effect on the action of the forks or lockout.
We took out the moco unit and the bottom cap was seperated and floating in the oil! Fished it out, tried to refit it to the unit but the piston rod down the unit core wouldnt go far enough up to allow the bottom cap to seat fully, so we couldnt get it back on.
I have a feeling when i was dialling in the floodgate, it moved past its intended adjustment range and that piston down the core dropped out of where it was meant to be seated and pushed off that cap. And now we couldnt resit the piston.
Is there any exploded diagrams of this unit, or have other people serviced or had this unit apart before?
There was still oil un the stanchion so i don't think it had leaked.
Here are two crappy photos of the moco unit and the cap that came off:

There's a v good explanation, with pictures, of how a motion control unit is assembled here:

Tutorial was useful, we reassmebled the unit. The plastic slot that governs the range of adjustment the floodgate sits in had come away and the rod had falled out, so we put it back in. However the lockout still doesn't activate so we think the oil level may be too low (might have leaked into the lowers?).0
