old diamond back

I have a old steel diamond back and thinking of putting some suspension forks on it but after looking at it the stem of the frame is smaller than the modern forks so my question is can u get forks to fit the old frames . Thanks

Yes, older 1" steerer forks, might be worthwhile asking on www.retrobike.co.uk or looking in the classifieds there.

But you are most likely to end up with a poor handling bike as most old frames that did not have suspension are not designed to have any.
