removing the chain and powerlinks advice?

i have a shimano hg54 chain on my 30 speed giant xtc.

id like to be able to remove the chain every now and then to give it a proper clean but i dont know where to start?

which power link would be suitable for my chain and how easy are they to fit? i have a chain splitting tool.

    kmc are the only 10 speed links that are re-usable (make sure you get the shimano one as there are 2 types), easy to fit provided you have a chain tool to split the chain and remove one of the fixed links and replace with the 'missing link'
