May sound stupid but if I buy bbb brake cartridge housings can i fit kool stop inserts at a later date? Or am I then stuck with having to replace with bbb Pads forever?

Cheers

  • Nah they're all interchangeable, you only need worry about the shape of the pads as Campag and Shimano are slightly different. Shimano also have a little pin that you insert into the housing to keep the pad in place whereas Campag just slide in.

There are different patterns for road bikes and mountain bikes - MTB cartridge pads use the pin mentioned, whereas Shimano-pattern road pads had a retainer screw in the pack of the shoe, but both designs are pretty well ubiquitous - the only exception being Campagnolo road pads which have a different design.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
