My first build. Looking to buy front suspension for under £200 seen a marzocchi 55R for £150, worth the money/compatible? want something of XC/Freeride capability...

Saying you want an XC freeride fork is like saying you want a Ferrari with the practicality of a Fiat Panda at the same price. They are in completely different worlds. I had the 55's TST 2 from 2010, and they could be dropped down to I believe 120mm via a travel adjust system, but I found they just did not work that well at 120mm length.0

ha i see, fairly new to the biking world im sure I will gain perspective on realistic pricing and abilities once ive bought and tested more parts. Definately after a freeride fork. apart from the fork being comprimised at 120mm how would you rate the 55's?
