Im after a kmc chain to go on a 9 speed shimano setup, which one will work guys?

Mate uses this on his triple slx drivetrain.
I have a slx double setup and use the model down from that, can't remember the name.
I wasn't aware there were any compatibility issues with them! ?

Any 9 speed chain will work.

Both mine and mates are 9 speed.

Same mate also has a slx 10 speed setup on his other bike and has just blew his shimano chain to bits!

I just use the cheapest 9sp chain KMC make. Does the job.

I'm a big KMC fan having snapped Sram and Shimano chains. Whether they are better, or it's just luck I don't know, but I stick with them.
Just the cheap versions, replace when they wear out, but they seem to last a year or so or regular riding.

I always go for the cheapest chain possible. They just wear out fast, and no since having a blingy one I need to replace in a few months for 3x the price.

In that any 10 will work on a 10 speed cassette, yes. You can get away with them on a 9 also, but they are thinner and potentially wear faster so people claim (don't know about KMC though). Stick with 9 for 9, 10 for 10 though. Can't use 9 on a 10 by the way.

There are a number of different KMC choices though depending if you want lightweight, blingy, or basic.

I went with X10-93 just because it had good reviews. Fairly basic, though somewhat more expensive than the 9 speeds!

Just so happens the budget KMC X9 93 chain is one of the best value chains out there. Keeps nice, stretches considerably less than any SRAM I've tried over the same time period and when they do eventually go they just snap cleanly, put a new link in to get you home and time for a new one.

Parkers do them for 12.50, get two and get free postage.

Gotta be the gold KMC chain, got them on both my bikes and very happy with it.
