I'm cycling down to Bognor from London in morning to pick up a frame.
A google maps walking route from mine sends me a fair bit on the a24 and a29. Are these roads ok to cycle on or 70 dual carriageways?
Bit of a punt this time of night I know but....
Cheers.

How do you propose to get the frame back?
Have you tried looking on a road map?0 -
70 miles with a frame on your back ?
Use google street view - that usually gives you a decent idea of the roads ?0 -
Train.
And yes that's a good idea.

I mean I'm getting a train, not that I have trained to ride 70 miles with a frame on my back.0

Although, what does a semi decent bike frame weigh these days. Can't see the problem myself.....A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it

I ride on the A29 most days. It's unpleasant. I wouldn't touch the A24 with yours. (Though I have done it). I know the area really well though, so I'd pick a different route...Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0

A24 fine for getting out of london. Not great, but as good as trying the minor roads.
From Dorking it gets a bit major, although you'll be on the A29 soon enough, which the parts I know is fine.
Other options from Dorking: slightly west and go over leith hill or slightly east for nice flatter roads.0
