Friend of mine went round Derwent on Sat morning and it was, in his words, "lethal"!

Was much warmer yesterday though so it might be better now?
  • Have a look at the Peak conditions thread.
    In a word, "bad".
  • yes ok ,just thought it may have been ok round there as its been decent weather last few days.
  • Went around Hayfield area on Sunday. It was pretty icy and i probably wouldnt have gone if i'd known the conditions. That said i haven't laughed that much on a ride for ages so i'd say go and ride it, just plan a shorter route than normal.
  • Well i did go out and had a really good ride today , yes it was quite boggy in places and some ice here and there with patches of snow. The majority was only right at the tops's of the trail/ mountain!! Really really good fun though with all the different kind's of terrain , was a real test of skill and nerve!! I only came off once too which was down a really steep rocky section of trail ( it eventually spat you out on road below hagg farm) , i was on my fury hardtail too she did me proud!!!!!!

Rode there today and it's just muddy as is usual for this time of year. Most of the snow is now gone with just the odd slush patch where the Sun doesn't reach 8)
