Hi , gona have a look at the wifes bike at the weekend as the BB is worn ,it looks like its cup and cone , it a Diamondback outlook
Just wondering if i could throw the old cup and cone as they will more or less fubard and drop in a cartridge type
Would it just be a matter of measuring the frame width at the crank bearing housing i asume that the threads would be able to take a cartridge
Any ideas
Phil

Maybe. You also need same axle length

The cup and cone BB shell will almost certainly take a sealed cartridge BB, I've converted 4 without issues.
