36 Hole Hubs Advice

Needing a bit of 'expert' advice regarding building up 36 hole Campag compatiable hubs/rims . Im going to get a proper set of wheels built up with a few events like Tour Of Flanders and Paris Roubaix sportive events in mind.
I plan to use Ambrosio Nemsis rims with 36 hole hubs , Sapin spokes and maybe get Harry Rowland to do the build.
Problem is I wanted to go with Record hubs but they are only available in 32 hole . Can anybody recommend a suitable pair of hubs for this task , Chris King hubs are out the window as they are too expensive .
I am 6ft 4" and weight 85kgs , I have been running Mavic Ksyrium wheels for a few years but im pretty sure they wont be up to the task in the 'Northern Classic's'.

I have 36 hole Campag Record 2006 hubs on Ambrosio Excellence Rims - 6 years old NEVER broke a spoke.
6'5" tall & 16 stone = Bullet proof wheels .
Currently run 36 hole Ambrosio Hubs (a copy of the Record Hubs) tho not as classy as the Record's they are very reliable and do the job on my winter bike. They retail for about £60 a pair. come in silver or black. I would suggest you get a set of 700x25c michelin krylion carbon or Gatorskin tyres for the cobbles.

Have a look at Miche Primato hubs. Or Royce are nice, should be tough too for the abuse you're about to give them!0

I'm eyeing up a very similar build. Main options, given the same mix of foul weather durability, high mileage use, are as I see it:
Royce - dear at £400 a pair but look nice!
Hope - the cheapest "nice" option, less than £200 a pair, but relatively heavy
PMP - this, I think, is the best compromise. £250 a pair, sub 400g and owners seem to wax about their smoothness and durability.
White Industries - US made, you can order them direct from the states, also around £250 plus any import duty. Saves 50g compared to PMP, again have a reputation for durability and toughness.
Let us know what you go with, I'm buying my hubs in the next couple of weeks!0 -
I would have thought 32 spokes with 3 cross were up to the job. I rode my rubbish 32 spoke jobs last year at tour of Flanders and they were fine. I am 10Kg lighter than you though. Why don't you speak to Harry Rowland for advise first to see if you really need 36 holes. I'm riding my good wheels Hope with Open Pros this in both events this year.0
