  • It will be interesting to see the weight of those LWs as for that kind of deep rims not really sure you'd want a super light wheel (especially on downhills).

Might be a bit more aero if the bar code tag is removed!

Brill! Set PB on them first time using them, they were stiff and only 100g heavier than a set of Zipp 808s, but cost 280 quid :)

    +1
  • Agree - both look hideous.

I know this is straying into "Road buying advice" territory...but does anyone know if you can still buy Nike cycling shoes new? My old pair have finally died and they have been my fav pair of shoes.

I wouldnt want a pair like above however!

DMT used to make the Nike shoes so if you like the fit worthwhile checking them out.

I think the current Nike that the pros use are made by Rocket 7, but not 100% sure on that.

He won the sprint challenge at Plouay this weekend if that counts ?

it's a hard life if you don't weaken.
  • He won at Paris-Correze beginning of the month, plus sprint challenge at Plouay yday. Clearly he's on fire :D
  • Blythe's Nikes look far cooler (and cleaner) than FF's B'Twins! :D

    Question

How did adam get the nike deal? Don't seem to be many nikes kicking about and its only high profile riders normally. I might be talking S...

There's probably a connection with Cavendish as Peter Kennaugh also wears nike shoes.

Blythe is chav-tastic. Beyond that, I have no words to describe....

You're in team kit ALL the time. Nike offer to give you a set of mad and whacky stand out shoes. I'd take them up on it and wear all sorts.

Hopefully his results will start to justify all the exposure at some point.

I have to agree with symo on this one. It seems anything goes these days when it comes to shoes but this pair are taking the urine. One can only assume he lost a drunken bet over the Christmas holidays and this is the result.

As for the wheels, if they don't have at least 28 spokes, all of them shiny stainless steel twinkling in the sunshine, and nice black flat profile alloy rims, I don't want to know. Those carbon wheels are no doubt very efficient but they just look terrible.

Kennaugh's look like they were labelled by his mum so they don't get mixed up with Timmy's when he's at home.

I like Blythe's spotty shoes but the orange and black one's above look like a Prince-Bet Lynch fusion.
