Calling all computer buffs

Right I've a question from my son I can not answer. His query is that he wants to show his real time game play of some on line games on youtube or similar. What way can he do this is there some programme out there preferably cheapish to do this

Any help appreciated.
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

    Do you mean to copy vid from say a ps3/xbox or are the games being played on the pc?

    Oh and as a side issue how easy is it to build a computer for gaming? any harder than a bike build, once you've decided on the bits?

    Any suggestions on builds would be good this is all new to me by the way.

    Deciding on the bits is the hard bit. Putting it together is not too bad BUT you may find shops may offer a ready build at a better price.
