Cannock - 'Monkey but no Dog' route ?
I've been to Cannock a couple of times: parked up in the visitor centre place and done a couple of laps of the combined Follow The Dog plus Monkey route.
It seems like you can only get onto the Monkey by doing part of the Dog first, then you have to go back onto the Dog to get back to the visitor centre, so you end up doing nearly all of FTD.
- Is there somewhere I can park up that goes straight onto the Monkey trail?
- Also when I finish the Monkey, is there a faster way of getting back to the start of the Monkey without doing a few miles of FTD?

You can park at the bottom of the railway. Where you cross over the railway. It's about halfway along the A460. The monkey starts and ends at that point so you could just keep going around.0
