Anyone tried these?

I am considering buying some for my wife, winter no problem (we all like a bit of extra warmth) but how about use in summer. Also for myself - when riding "rocky" trails in the wet or ice.

Mate just bought these. Tried them for size and comfort and was pleasantly surprised, no straps like regular pads just fit like knee warmers. Not loads of padding but it flexes really well absorbs impact well too (after a few tests)
Be great for long rides.
