Want a do it all reliable full suspension bike. Always had hardtails up till now but had a test ride on a friends full suspension and would like one. I ride woodland trails, dalby and grizedale now and again and bit of road also. Cannot decide between the two so help appreciated.

why only these 2 and not other bikes.. i would try and test as many different bikes as possable before making your decision..
of the 2 you mention it's hard to say as they both score good reviews.. i have ridden the older whyte 46 and that was a pretty good bike...www.bearbackbiking.com

They are both great bikes and there are pros and cons of both.
The white comes with a lifetime warranty for pivot bearings however has more pedal feedback.
I would recommened a trawl of reviews and definatley a test ride on each bike
The trek however has had some critisisms of the new DRCV fork however the shock is apparently excelent.
Personally if you can't decide I would take the whyte as its a UK based company.0 -
i've a remedy so would highly recommend it. never tested the whyte though0
