RS Rev's oil question 2010

I stripped the forks and I am waiting on 15wt oil from my lbs.
We supposed to put 15wt in both lower legs, but the left legs oil (damper side) seems to be thicker? Can somebody clarify please if its definitely 15wt in both lower legs. And if so, why the left legs oil seems so much thicker?
My other question is : Has anyone use Fully synthetic engine oil instead of suspension oil. I have read on other forums about using 10w40 fully synthetic. This would be easy to get and far cheaper! :?:

Yep, I've just serviced my Reba's and used Halfords synthetic engine oil in the lowers. They are massively smoother and more active and that's in sub-zero temperatures. Mobil 1 seems to be the reccomended oil although any will be fine but avoid extended life/mileage oils. See my comments and links in this thread for more info > viewtopic.php?f=10004&t=128338860 -
I have tons of 15wt Fuchs fork fluid. If you want some for the lube, PM me and I'll send you a pot. It is very good stuff.0

Looking at your location, I'd get down to Woodford Motorcycles in George Lane and pick up some proper fork oil.
Does the job for me, cheaper than MTB specific oil as well.0
