i contacted specialized,
They say that i shouldn't increase the travel length more than 10% so that means 154mm ( because of warranty )
So i guess its alright if i put 160mm... its only 6mm more than their * recommended*
What do you think?
thanks,

Nah, it's 6mm more than their maximum, and 20mm more than their recommended.
Thing is this... Yes, plenty of frames will be fine with it, but Specialized are pretty canny about their frame construction, which means they're not particularily overbuilt (that means excess weight generally).
But also... As a general rule, many frames will handle it as long as you don't ride too hard. But if you're not riding hard then what's the point of fitting 160mm forks?Uncompromising extremist0 -
Get a 150mm fork but whats the point for 10mm? can I ask why you want a 160mm fork, blowing all your travel, thicker stantions?0

I ran 150s on my spesh FSR and I wouldnt have gone any longer than that, the steering was becoming vague at best.A Flock of Birds
