Metal fillings in fork oil? is this normal?

So I am putting spacers in my Rock Shox Rev's. The oil has a few little metal bits in it.

They are new forks and have not been serviced before, is this to be expected?

I have seen it before as bushings bed in, metal deposits in the oil. How big are the bits, and is it in the damper fluid or lube oil?

most of it is super fine, like gold flakes, but some is easy to see.

its in both lower legs oil
