Knee

Had an "off" from the MTB a few months ago.
Couple of scrapes on side of both knees.
On right leg, have a kind of numb area to the right and below kneecap, though the impact was to the left of kneecap. Also, I have a rather sensitive spot now beside the impact point, such that when I touch it gently, the feeling is like a hot needle being stuck into my leg, but bizarely the sensation of the needle is coming from the slightly numb area, away from where I touch. Harder I press, sorer it is.
Any idea's? I am thinking some kind of trapped nerve?

You might be right. I bashed my left knee badly (playing cricket!) as a teenager (I got to see the inner workings of my leg) and I've not had feeling in the area below and to the left of my knee since.
I've learned, through my son's experience, that:
- regenerating nerve is very painful
- it regenerates at 1mm per dayROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
Hmmm, scrapes followed by numbness you say? Could be?
I bashed my elbow when I came off my bike once, theres a funny dent in the cartilage and it still feels a bit funny. Happened over a year ago.
