Yep that is right despite all I said before I now have sks mudguards on the bike. If they rattle and / or rub I'll be taking them back off again

I've got mudguards on my winter bike (BTwin Vitamin), but not on my fixie or roadie. I just accept getting wet.
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
    FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

    I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!

Maybe good in a wet London for avoiding drafting fairies, but poor form in a Winter group if you're the only one without mudguards.

    Are they white?

Next you will be telling us you're getting 50mm carbon wheels.....

If you've fitted them properly they shouldn't rattle or rub. Please tell me they're not white.

I bet they are (were) white. First run on roads this week should darken them up. I will admit to sticking the Cruds back on the commuter for the time being. They even started off in black.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

i only have a rear on, i have sks race blades

mine dont rattle but they occasionally rub on the tread on the tyre an make a weird whirring whoosing noise

also i put "lizard skin" frame patches where they attach to the frame as they have wore indents into the metal

    **I have 28s Marathon +'s
    Keeping it classy since '83

I'd take a bit of rattling over a cold, wet behind any day. Cannot believe how much more comfy I have been during Winter thanks to the SKS Chromeplastics - wish that they had been added to the bike 10yrs ago!

Merino glove liners from Ice Breaker have been the other revelation this Winter....

In usual style the bolt on bits on the crud road race ii's have dropped off. Gah.
