New Carrera Vulcan fork upgrade options

Last year I sold my 2010 Kona Hei Hei 100 due to lack of use. Ive decided I want to start riding again as I miss it and theres some great routes around here.

I have just bought a Carrera Vulcan in Halfords sale for £334.99: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... pping#tab2

So far Ive added some Token lock on grips, Tioga bar ends, Conti MK 2.2 tyres and a cateye micro. Im thinking about upgrading my forks if the right set come along on ebay.
Does anyone know, from deciphering the info on the halfords and suntour websites, what size forks I would need in regards to length of steerer tube etc. Also, is it best to stick to 120mm travel as that is what the stock suntour is?

1 1/8" steerer, you can measure the steerer tube length (from crown to top) and I would stick with the same travel.
Be wary of second hand forks - could be trashed, and even a service can cost the thick end of £100.

Look for some Rockshox Tora or Recons with similar travel to the suntours. I got mine from jejames. I have 100mm Tora Solo airs. And they are a massive improvement compared to the suntours. I have a 09 Vulcan.

Are Suntour Raidon X1 forks a good set to go for? I might be able to get some for a good price. Just wondering on opinions. They must be better than the XCM V3 I have got fitted now?

Unfortunately I dont think the steerer tube is long enough. Says 186mm on the ad. Ive just tried to measure mine (whilst fitted to the bike) and it looks closer to 200mm.

The Raidons are much the same, and I'd have them over the Tora.
