I'm always hoping someone will say something like, "Hey, here's a great campsite in an amazing location for cycling, with good facilities, really quiet, seriously good price, no nonsense, what more could you want". But no-one ever does.
So I'm going to:
http://www.campingmonrepos.fr/
Got no vested interest in the place but stumbled upon it last summer and was amazed at what a stupendous spot it was for riding and all other such activities. It's about 15km west of Gap and right in the heart of what Graeme Fife calls "glorious country" for riding in the Rapha Great Climbs book...
One of the nicest campings I've ever stayed in... and there have been many! Family friendly too - we have a two year-old and he was as happy as the proverbial
Roll on summer!
Anyone got any other hidden camping gems in the Alps?
