Hi all,

Can you help in identifying this Trek Madone 5.5.

The frame is identical to the 2010 model, but the '10 came with SRAM Force gruppo. Whereas this one is Ultegra all round. Plus the stem, hoods, tape and cable outers are all different to the stock model.

I know the one in the photo is a legit Madone, and not a Chadone :D , as it was on sale in a reputable shop that are a Project One seller and stock all brands such as Spesh, Pinarello, Colnago etc.

Trying to find out the model so I can find the RRP and see if the deal I got was a good as I think it was

If you have full Ultegra then it would be a 5.2 as your comparison. The paint job was looks like the 5.5 stock bike (although was also an option through the P1 customisation). Underneath the paint job the frame is the same - just different finishing kit.

Nice bike btw. My 5.2 is coming up to 2nd anniversary. very happy with it.
  • Thanks for the reply Tigerben.

The frame is deffo Stock 5.5 2010. But the finishing kit and gruppo isn't. The idea of it being a project one bike that went unsold is intriguing. If so then any chance of a rough valuation.

2012 5.2c is £2800 SRP (comes with full untegra)
    2012 5.9 is £3500 SRP (with Ultegra Di2)

So a rough guess would be £3500 in 2010??? as the 5.5 was the top 5 series model back then? Is that fair thinking???

Try £2500 for the 2010 price. Ultegra di2 is totally different ball park to regular ultegra groups set.
