Hi, looking to find a set of forks for a mate, between 100-130mm travel to fit an orange ST4 and able to take a rider weight of 105Kg. Have seen some 130mm DT Swiss forks for £350 on CRC but the rider weight limit is only 110kg ( a bit close) can anyone recomend anything? he has about £400 to play with.

RockShox Revelation - preferably RLT. They can be spaced down to 130mm.0

Possibly Revelations or Rebas as they are the best forks yo can get for the money. Merlin cycles often do great deals (got my revs for sub 300)
Bolt through axles are also great if you have a wheel which fits
Some ideas

And if they are possible to step down

Thanks for the replys, I was thinking the same sort of things. Has anyone got any views on Manitou's offerings? Think it would have to be QR dropouts as he hasn't long had his shimano MT65 wheelset.
Do you think it would be a simple job to space the REVs down to 120-130mm?0 -
Yep, you add a spacer to the air shaft, instructions in service manual.
Manitou are not seen much in UK at the minute.
Some Rebas are ready in 120mm, but is a lighter fork for 2012.0 -
Just collected some Revelations (I have turned to the dark side SS) from Royles on the Daily deal. 2012 RCT3 jobs down from £600 ish to £509 then a further 25% off so well under £400. Very happy. NOt that that helps you, but it does illustrate that there are deals out there, even on 2012 non-oem stuff.A Flock of Birds
