... what an eejit Dacre is. I've been watching the Daily Mail being trashed here on a regular basis and often wondered what all the fuss was about. Now I know. Seems like a print version of Mary Whitehouse with extra outrage... so, apologies to all forumites that I have thought were greatly overreacting about this 'newspaper'. FWIW, we have the 'Irish Daily Mail' here - totally different beast altogether.

I read the coverage on the Beeb's website. Dacre truly seems to be in a universe of his own if he expects anyone to believe him.

Incidentally, if you are curious about what the Mail gets up to, I'd recommend http://tabloid-watch.blogspot.com - they do an excellent job of debunking the Mail's rather unusual claims about... um, everything. :)
  • Will have a look - thanks. G.

My dislike of the Mail is very poorly concealed. I can also recommend Mailwatch (http://www.mailwatch.co.uk) and Angry Mob (http://www.butireaditinthepaper.co.uk) as good sites for taking a pop at the Mail (and indeed other papers besides).
