Main pivot bolt re-fitting advice needed

Hi there folks, I am in the process of changing the bearings on my FS. Thanks to You tube I have removed all the old ones and later this week will start to fit the new ones. I am happy I have the tools and all that is needed to do the job but my one concern is about refitting the Main pivot bolt once the bearings are in the frame.

I have searched and googled the subject to death but can't find any tips, even the Youtube videos showing how to refit the bearings stop short of refitting the pivot bolt.

Is it just a case of getting it lined up and giving it some 'gentle encouragment' with a hammer?
