Hello there all I would like to say DO NOT BUY AN ORBEA CHILI this is supposed to be a freeride/dirt jump hardtail but if you use this bike YOU ARE IN DANGER the frame is nice but the forks are Suntour xcr which are for light trail riding the crank is a shimano tourney hybrid bike crank , plastic pedals, acera rear mech own brand xc stem and handle bars which happen to have a sticker saying for xc use only . I am in the position of not being able to get rid of mine just yet as it was a gift but if just one person takes heed about this bike then I will be happy. Take care all and happy riding.Oh by the way this bike was 680 POUNDS.

Orbea don't even make a bike called the Chili do they? If so, do you have a link?

To the OP, calm down. Just because you didn't get the Trek Remedy carbon you wanted don't cry, everything except the forks on this bike are more than capable of any street and dirt jump application, just swap the forks out for something else.

That is NOT a freeride bike, nor was it designed to be. Stop being a moron and be grateful and ride your bike. Brat.

  • 680 pounds is actually quite cheap for a decent high quality bike, from the likes of Orbea.

@ scottv1 judging from the PM you sent me, it would appear you have serious anger management issues and I would suggest therapy.

@Nick - OK, no biggie though, not like any of this is real.
But at least it looks like he sent everyone different original messages.

I wonder if I should send a warning to the Mail addresse provided for the account?

not the type of language I would expect from a female. Or did the OP register with Mums/GFs mail addy?

  • I got an abusive PM as well, brought a smile to my face to know that me saying "680 is actually not much for a serious bike" has brought him so much anger.

Anyway, ignore the stickers. My GT said "not for downhill", so I took it downhill, and not just a road that points down.

I of course nearly died. Bike was fine though. GT had been hurled all over the place and survived everything. More than I did.

To be honest to the OP...

If that bike was a gift... Your a lucky little tw@ who is quite clearly spoilt.....

If you want the spec your after...... save up yourself!

I'd be over the moon if I got that as a gift!!!

    OP banned for abusive PMs.

Seen enough abuse for at least a month.

And topic locked as it has run its course.
