Guided LeJog trips, any recommendations?

Due to a possible change in circumstances at work which may mean that I'm going to go to a three day week in future, I am thinking of cycling from Lands End to John O Groats his summer.
I am tempted to sign up with a tour organiser to avoid having to plan it myself, has anyone done the trip and can recommend any tour operators?.
Thanks

I've never done an organised tour mainly because I enjoy the whole planning process. Organised tours always appear to be really expensive, I notice however that the CTC are doing a few lejogs this year (about £1600 - £1700).0

There quite a few of us on here are about to or have already done it DIY, the routes can be found all over the Internet and there are loads of recommendations for accommodation. I am planning mine to be very sub £1000 using B&Bs and hostels, which is about the same as you get with organised ones. If you would prefer a big group experience the big charity ones require quite a chunk to be raised but at least it's going somewhere worthy.Dolan Mythos and Her dirty sister

Do it yourself man! I planned mine last year and it cost less than £300 + food & drink. Travelodge rooms for £12 at the moment booked in advance(more expensive at other locations!) And book your train now as well and you're quids in! Tony0

I must say I'd recommend planning your own as I did last August. www.nigelend2end.co.uk - plenty of resources there and elsewhere on the web to help.
You can book your train 3 mths in advance and that's when you get the cheapest tickets. I chose B&B's and hostels as I found hotels too impersonal and didn't want to carry the gear.
Obviously this forum and the CTC equivalent are very valuable resources too.
