There have been a few BMCs featured on here recently, so I though I'd put a pic up of mine.

  • Lovely looking bike. A nice background for the bike. I have started to like the new BMC frames a lot more than I used to. :)
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.

Lovely bike and nice spec - presumably the compact chainset and 11-28 cassette mean you're in a hilly part of switzerland? Guess you'll have to go skiing till the snow clears up :-)

    Lol re the bottle cages.

Prior to the photo being taken, I had spent ages making gear indexing adjustments and replacing the stock Arione saddle with my Romin saddle, and I quickly put the bottle cages on so that I could get a photo in decent light. I must have been in a rush because yes, they are upside down. I haven't even ridden the thing yet due to the weather, but will report back when I get the chance!

I'm sure it does ride like the clappers, but not with me on it. I bought it mainly for long distance comfort and seeing as BMC HQ are not that far away from me, I really ought to support the local company!

Yes, I am on the edge of the Jura and I spend most of my time either going up or down hills. Definately need a compact and also a light bike. Prior to the BMC I rode an 11kg Cross bike and I eventually became fed up with lugging it up category 1 and 2 climbs every weekend!

The weather was good enough today for me to take it out for its first spin. Boy it's fast. It climbs and descends really well and has a real turn of speed when you stand on the pedals and give it some for example when cresting a hill.

Also it feels very comfortable and it fits also really well. I didn't have to make any running adjustments, and don't feel the need to make any changes post ride either.

    So far, very happy!
