Not sure what to get here and just wondering what other people use and are happy with.
My requirements
4 bikes
Easy for the wife to get the bikes onto (a roof system would be my first choice but I don't think she has the strength or height to use one)
Must not scratch the bikes (I don't like those cheapy halfords rear racks)

4 bikes.. What size bikes are these going to be?
Most of the rear mounted bike racks will only take up to 3 bikes. Unless you put 2 on the back (towbar mounted) and 2 on a roof rack.
That's if they definitely will not go into the car.0 -
Roof mounted is really bad for fuel economy. I read somwhere a while ago (few years) it was cheap to send you bike from London to Edinburgh by courier than put it on you roof
I have a similar problem with my wife as she's 4'10" and can't reach to put bike son the roof. I got a towbar fitted (removable so didn't spoil the look of the car and got a Thule EuroClassic G6. It's expensive but SO easy to use my wife can put it on the car and bikes on it with ease. Takes about 1min to put the rack on and 2min to put the bikes on the rack.
