Hello there, just wondered if any one in this area knew if any good routes.
I normally do a couple of loops from dursley, through kingswood, then hillsley, to wotton then back to dursley.
I see loads of riders out there but always going a different way to me.
I have a friends who's bored of riding in London so hes coming to stay and we're going for a ride at some point.
I wouldn't mind taking him some where new.
So any one know of any good routes/sights/hills/pubs to see in the south gloucster area?
Cheers.

That looks like a nice gentle one. There are a few more on there though that might be more to your liking though.

This is the Southern Sportive one that is based around your neck of the woods:

I haven't done it yet though (mapped it out for a w/e where I fancied it) so I can't comment on how good it is but it looks OK, albeit rather more convoluted then the ones I usual map. Gives you something to play with though.

But if not, then you've got plenty of options, but a lot depends on distance and how many hills you want to ride. You could go through Slimbridge/Berkeley/Littleton for a flat/rolling ride. Or add a loop to Tetbury/Malmesbury/Sherston if you only want to go up the escarpment once. Or do any number of escarpment climbs - Selsley, Frocester, Uley, Wotton, Tresham, Hillesley, Horton, Sodbury Common - if you're a tough nut.
