You need to get your core temperature up. Have you tried putting hot porridge
in your bib tights? Peta spoons it into Cav's before he sets off round Manx.- Slave to the cadence -0 -
I use lycra/neoprene toe caps, so easy to take off IF you get too hot and not as bulky to carry as overshoeshttp://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

Where do you get those then?
I ask because my athritic hip makes getting neoprene overshoes on is an exersize workout in itself.Tail end Charlie

I got mine (the £8.90 one's) here - http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/search/find/?q=toe+covers. Couple of other pairs shown as well. You may not want them though as I've heard they're made from Mrs Thatcher's knickers."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -

Even better stuff peta todd in your bibs - betterer, stuff yourself in her bibs -- even betterer still, just stuff yourself in her.The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

The best combination I've found. I've not had cold toes once since I bought them !Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

+1 on the Pro Tarmacs. My feet haven't been cold at all since I got mine even when soaking wet from snow melt.0 -
Embrocation on the toes, then pop on the socks. Toasty.0

A few years back I walked up Snowdon with the family. Even though we'd dressed for bad weather it became a foul day (August) and we were pretty well soaked
We'd just left the summit station when we met a family coming up. Two kids first, about 9 and 10, dressed in leather boots and full gear, followed by mum about 100m back. She was wearing exactly what is in the picture, sandals on top of woolly socks plus a rain mac or something like.
Whenever I see people in that sort of situation, I always wonder what became of them; did they make it back home again?
The older I get, the better I was.0
