my Fulcrum 1's came with a special flat spoke magnet.....

Thanks both. Th Mavic one looks like it would do the job. (the Mavic magnet I tried was off my Cosmics, and is a different design)
I've also got some small magnets at work, same size as in that link, 4 x 3mm, might give that a go too.

Was worried about the same problem when I switched from round spokes to flat bladed spokes on a new wheelset.
No need to worry if you have a Cateye computer - the magnet provided is set up with two profiles so that you can attach it to either type of spoke. Spare magnets are fairly cheap so i would suggest you try one of these:-

Thanks again, but the spokes on the Fulcrum 1 are so wide that even magnet from ny Cosmic Carbones (bladed spokes) won't work. Don't think that Cateye one will either.0
