Does anyone have any recommendations in this price range?
Not fussed if sporty or 'skatey' just a decent pair.

I have the slightly older version of these, and they're alright. Comfortable, have lasted me a year now with regular use. They're just not waterproof in any way, and the lack of material on them means they're cold as fuck in winter. But you get what you pay for. Decent starter SPD shoe.0

SPD or Flats?
If you're after SPDs I'd recommend these, decent price, I find them comfy and with 3 straps instead of 2 they should be easier to get them to fit you more comfortably.

Really impressed with them, plenty of grip, at times a little too much maybe as it's hard to adjust the feet on the pedals, have stood up well to quite a bit of abuse and kept my feet dry this winter.0 -
Flats - Five Tens - End of.0

Yep. Five Tens. I have a pair of 5 10 impacts. Comfortable and great grip. I had a great deal from free flow bikes.----

If you're after flats the amount of recommendations on these forums for Five Tens - the extra £20 should be a no brainer really. I know what I'm getting for the DH bike

The impacts are £72 at freeflow. I actually got mine for £64. The carvers are good too at £67----
