Just took a little time out to look for some routes and only just realised something...

Seeing as I live in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire it would only take me around an hour to get to the Peaks. Why the hell have I been spending most of my time at Sherwood Pines when the Peaks are only an hour away??

Of course, I couldn't go every weekend, but the point still stands.

I have no common sense at all -shakes head-

Lucky you, I live an hour from Cannock or just over an hour to Sherwood.....
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • Damm, that's unlucky mate. I did take a trip down to Cannock once (also an hour away), in retrospect I should have just head up north now seeing as there's whole load of great riding up there.
  • ladybower is a great ride mate. Well worth the journey
  • Thanks for that suggestion. It looks great and there's some nice hotels round there too, though I doubt they let bikers caked up to the nines in :).

Wouldn't mind camping though if they have some sites.
  • It's easily do-able in a day trip mate
  • I know, I was just thinking about going for a few days holiday in the summer.
