Just took a little time out to look for some routes and only just realised something...

Seeing as I live in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire it would only take me around an hour to get to the Peaks. Why the hell have I been spending most of my time at Sherwood Pines when the Peaks are only an hour away??

Of course, I couldn't go every weekend, but the point still stands.

I have no common sense at all -shakes head-

    Lucky you, I live an hour from Cannock or just over an hour to Sherwood.....
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Damm, that's unlucky mate. I did take a trip down to Cannock once (also an hour away), in retrospect I should have just head up north now seeing as there's whole load of great riding up there.

    Thanks for that suggestion. It looks great and there's some nice hotels round there too, though I doubt they let bikers caked up to the nines in :).

    Wouldn't mind camping though if they have some sites.
