Noted some poor braking performance yesterday. On inspecting the disc brake pads they appear glazed? What causes this and how do you remedy IT?

dragging the brakes too much causes it as the pads never get chance to cool down, remedy is take the pads out and sandpaper the face off the pad off.0

Without sounding stupid  whats the correct way of bedding them in0

To bed them in - accellerate to a reasonable speed and then brake to a stop sharply but without looking the wheels. Repeat 10 or 15 times.MTB or Road - They are both good!0

Superstar say to cool them with water after doing that also, but I never bother.
Dirty discs may be okay. The bedding in process should leave a layer of pad material on the disc. If you clean it, you'll have to bed in again.
Generally, unless they're not stopping properly, or are getting stupidly noisy, don't mess with them.0
