Does anyone have any ideas to stop a squeeking back brake or what could be causing it? I am using a carbon braking surface with Swisstop yellow pads. The front is fine but the back is doing my head in!

    Ckecked toe in ?
  • Just read up about it and no i havent tried that but will do. Its just a case of angling the pad so the front strikes the rim first right?

Yes basically thats it, I use a piece of card to create the gap at the back of the pad and create the angle, it is only slight maybe 0.5mm gap at the back as the front touches. Of course youi may need to experiment to see how much you need to cancel the squeal.

    Good luck

Now now play nicely LOL its not the BigBee asking
  • Tried it yesterday (the toe in that is) and it worked a treat. I did get a bit of shuddering on hard braking though but think that was because i angled it a bit too much. Will correct it today.
