Have no experience with either but I think they seem a bit overpriced (the forks)...personally I think the CarbonCycles.cc seem much better value at under £100 I think.........Swveeeet¡¡¡0

I've just built up a carbon whippet with these rigid forks:-

I love riding it - it's 9kg and flys up the hills (I've removed the granny ring) - it manages the black at Glentress in 2 hours, but the wrists need to get used to it, but I was expecting them to give a much harder ride.. they're not too bad.0 -
Yeah BrassKnocker i think it might be abit tough on the old legs and wrists using carbon rigids on a steel frame lol guess we will see?0

The p7 is a very heavy frame at 6lbs. The whippet is half that, and cheaper!0

not a good idea then you reckon Supersonic?0

Not for me no. Rigid forked bikes are usually about weight savings - teaming with about the heaviest steel frame on the market sorta undoes it ;-)
It is quite a compliant frame, but the Whippets are comfortable too. If steel is a must then the Cotic Soul is the obvious choice, 853 steel and 4.5lbs.
For the fork, Exotic Carbon:

If it looks similar to others, it's because is the same fork.0 -
Have you already got the P7?
Rigid forks- especially nice carbon ones like the Exotics- are fab, really make for a different riding experience, so don't just look at it from the weight loss angle... But it's a bit of a missed opportunity, still, to make a really nice light bike (and I know not everyone believes that lightweight is important but believe me it makes a BIG difference on a rigid bike)Uncompromising extremist0 -

Cool... What I was going to say was, buying a modern P7 just to be a rigid would be a bit mad IMO but running a P7 rigid wouldn't. Can't see your pics but sounds goodUncompromising extremist0
