Didnt know where to put this as its General Mountain Biking and not a technical issue
Basically i have a Stumpjumper 2007 FSR 21*frame and was planning to build onto but I am getting a Specialized Camber at the weekend
Both are 120mm Bikes
Could I run the Frame with either 100 or 140mm Forks and build it differently from the Camber without putting stress on the frame or making it unsafe
If it isnt I may just Ebay it
Thanks for looking

I have got a 08 stumpy with a 140 fork on the front. Spesh said that would be fine. It handles great
I wouldn't go down to 100, would mess the geometry up.0 -

As said above - options on forks on original that adjust from 100-140 so could do either without damaging frame...0 -
I have no doubt that it could run either 100 or 140 fork without any damage to the frame.
The big question is would you want to drop the front end down to 100mm. It would steapen the head angle by somewhere between 1/2 and 1 degree.
You'd only want to drop it down to 100mm on climbs.0
