nanos v mg1s (size)

seems to be the 2 pedals that get the most recomendations on here are the superstar nanos and the wellgo magnesiums mg1s.. so following last weeks thread on pedals and people questioning which had the bigger platform,, and the shock resuslt in the mg1 being longer.. i decided to invetigate so took some pics of the pedals side by side and on top of one another to see which has the best/biggest platform....

so as you can see the mg1 is longer but the nano apears to have a bigger platform due to the shape of the mg1.

Nice post, be good to see pic. 5 looking straight at them at eye level so you can see the height differences.

I just went from MG1's to Nanos (for no other reason than colour option) the Nanos felt a little bigger under foot but aside from that both are great would use either of them all day long........so long as the colour was right

I reckon both are bl00dy good options with decent footwear. I know you can get MG-1's for about £35 on the interweb: how much do the Nano's cost?

Ive had both and prefer the nanos, they just feel more solid. Mg1 are good and the white ones the paint actually lasts more than one ride.

Yeh I was amazed when Sonic pointed this out to me the other week. Like you, I own both Nanos and MG1s, and I would have swore blind that the nanos were bigger.
They FEEL bigger too, I just can't figure out why.
I also find the nanos to be a lot moer grippy with the same shoes (fivetens).

The MG1s are a LOT lighter than the standard nanos too.

Looking at the pics it is because the corners haven't been cut off the Nano's, when my foot was half of the MG1's it felt half off, that is not the case with the Nano's.... make sense? it does to me and explains why the feel bigger to me...at least in my head.

Got my MG-1's from ebay for £25 delivered. Took a few week for delivery but been great.

I rode the MG-1's and Nano's back to back and found the Nano's felt bigger.
