Anyone local to Kendal out training for Sportives?

Sadly I'm having difficulty getting my MTB mates to try some road cycling.
Are there any groups going out from the Kendal area that wouldnt mind me latching on?
The Lakes Road club seem to meet up regularly but they are mainly based in Barrow.
I'm looking to get out on Saturdays and any week nights that suit with lights.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
