Are the Nukeproof DH rigs overpriced & over-heavy?

In fact, here is the thread. I believe all the current demos have lifetime warranty as well.0

Demo isn't for everyone though. I tried a 2011 Demo and didn't like it. Back end just felt a bit dead & it felt heavy to ride.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Fair enough, I'd still rather have a demo though... If money is a concern, would you rather buy a rose and have to buy a new frame if/when yours crack a year or two after warranty, or be safe in the knowledge that you won't have to shell out for a new frame for five whole years? Your call.0

Again, according to their website the specialized warranty is only for material and manufacturing defects, it doesn't cover you for a wear-and-tear failure. Specialized are pretty good about exceeding their warranty to be fair but it's not something to count on.
<edit- actually the Specialized website contradicts itself- says lifetime in some places, 5 years in others. http://cdn.specialized.com/OA_MEDIA/pdf ... ww.com.pdf>
The wording on Rose's website is flaky- translated I think- but it suggests they do a 10 year material-and-manufacturing-defect warranty on all their frames! Canyon do 6.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Exactly - check that fine detail. Warranties are an addition to your rights. You aren't entitled to a warranty at all.afe in the knowledge that you won't have to shell out for a new frame for five whole years?
What's that then?0 -
Again - some good advice
Tbh - I hadn't even really thought about warranties! I'll check out all the small print and see who gives the best deal as far as that side of things is concerned.
